          Manufacturer finds niche in rubber molding industry; even made a part for Patriot missile.

          VERONA - When the U.S. was firing Patriot missiles to protect U.S. troops from incoming Iraqi Scud missles during Operation Desert Storm, few people realized that a part on the missile was produced in Verona.

          In fact, few area people knew this successful manufacturer existed at all.
Mike Othon is owner of Verona Rubber Works, a facility which produces a wide variety of molded rubber products and specializes in joining rubber to various types of metals.
